Lip fillers are an injectable product that contains hyaluronic acid. Lip fillers come in several variations to cater to diverse needs. It can provide hydration or add volume and definition if desired.
A bespoke treatment plan starts with a consultation, where your healthcare professional will assess your lips and discuss your desired outcomes.
Your suitability will be assessed, and an appropriate treatment plan to best achieve your aesthetic goals will be discussed. As with all medical procedures, individual results will vary. Potential side effects and risks will also be explained during your consultation.
If you are suitable for treatment, a customised blend of techniques will be used to deliver your desired aesthetic results.
After the treatment, you might experience:
- Mild swelling at/or around the treatment site
- Mild tenderness or bruising at or around the treatment site
- Tiny red dots at the treatment site
Best results can be seen 2 to 4 weeks after the treatment as it takes time for the product to settle and integrate with your tissues. Longevity of results is highly dependent on the type of product used as well as the location of treatment. Individual results vary, please speak to one of our experienced healthcare professionals to discuss a plan that will suit you best.
In order to get the best results, it is important to follow the appropriate aftercare.
In order to minimise the risk of side effects please:
- Avoid putting pressure or rubbing the treatment area for 24-48 hours
- Avoid strenuous exercise for 24-48 hours after treatment
- Avoid heat related activities i.e. sauna, steam rooms, hot baths etc
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours after treatment
- Avoid facial massages for 4 weeks after treatment
In order to prevent any infection please:
- Avoid touching the treatment area for at least 24 hours.
- Avoid applying makeup for at least 24 hours
It is also important to book a review appointment at the two weeks post-treatment, to assess response and allow opportunity for feedback or concerns. For more information, please speak to your treating healthcare professional.
