Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements, unless prescribed by your doctor:
Aspirin
Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin)
Naproxen (Aleve)
Fish oil
Vitamin E
Ginkgo biloba
Ginseng
Garlic
St. John's Wort
Why? These can increase the risk of bruising or bleeding at the injection site.
24–48 Hours Before
No alcohol — it thins the blood and increases bruising risk.
Avoid intense workouts or facial massages right before treatment.
Day of Treatment
Arrive with a clean face – no makeup, moisturizers, or sunscreen.
Wear comfortable clothing.
Eat a light meal before your appointment to avoid light-headedness.
Inform your provider if:
You have a history of cold sores (especially for lip fillers – you may need antiviral meds).
You have allergies, medical conditions, or are taking prescribed medications.
You’ve had previous injectables or surgeries in the treatment area.
