Two weeks prior to treatment:
No Cosmetic Injectable treatments.
Avoid excess direct sun exposure.
No waxing, Laser Hair Removal, or IPL treatments on the face.
One week prior to treatment:
No depilatory use on face.
Three days prior to treatment:
Stop using active ingredients on the skin.
No Cosmetic Grade Peel treatments.
Days 1–3
Keep skin cool: avoid hot showers, saunas, and exercise for 24–48 hrs.
Cleanse AM + PM with Skinstitut Gentle Cleanser.
Apply Skinstitut Rejuvenate 15 after cleansing.
Apply Skinstitut Laser Aid or Skinstitut Repair Balm 2–3 times daily.
Apply SPF daily:
Skinstitut Age Defence SPF 50+, Face the Day SPF 50+
Reapply when outdoors.
Avoid active ingredients (AHAs, retinol, vitamin C).
From Day 4
Reintroduce actives if skin has settled.
* Even Blend: For clients with Fitzpatrick 3+, post-treatment pigmentation risk can be reduced with Even Blend Serum. It is highly recommended to begin application 2 weeks prior to treatment, and it can be reintroduced 5 days post-treatment to help calm melanin activity.
One-week post-treatment:

Microdermabrasion treatments are extremely safe and effective. Any redness, temporary flaking, or mild discolouration will disappear after your treatment and can be covered with a light layer of mineral makeup. Avoid exfoliating the treatment area for at least 5 days after the treatment, don't pull or pick any loose skin.
To enhance your results, use the Skinstitut® Gentle Cleanser to soften, purify and hydrate your skin. Skinstitut® Age Defence SPF 50+ sunscreen to be applied as aftercare for all Skin Treatments.

We provide Microdermabrasions for the face, decolletage, neck, back, upper arms and back of hands.
Our Express Microdermabrasion is our quick pick-me-up treatment. It is the perfect treatment for busy individuals who need a fast, effective facial treatment. Treatment duration is usually 10-15 minutes. Our Microdermabrasion 5-step combines the Microdermabrasion treatment with a completely tailored 5-Step Skinstitut® treatment, personalised to your specific skin type. Choose from Hydrating, Calming, Brightening, Clearing or Anti-Ageing. Our 5-Step Microdermabrasion can be done prior to an event or in conjunction with our other advanced Skin Treatments for optimal results. Treatment duration for the 5-Step Microdermabrasion is 20-30 minutes.
There is no downtime for this treatment. You may experience slight redness after the treatment but this usually subsides within 24 hours. We recommend the Yellow LED Light Therapy after this treatment to help reduce the redness and provide anti-ageing benefits. Light mineral makeup can be applied directly after the treatment.
We offer crystal-free Diamond Microdermabrasion at our clinics. This type of Microdermabrasion is a superior technology, non-irritating, and safe for all skin types. For optimum hygiene, Diamond-encrusted tips are disposed of after every individual use.
